This is very important work. Our own research has indicated a rather frightening perception among minority audiences, namely that they feel pointedly NOT invited to the party. The solution to this, while obvious to us, is often not so for the institutions involved. Indeed it is not a conscious exclusion at all, but rather the product of institutional history and inertia, and as you have said elsewhere, inertia is generally not our friend in these matters.
