Is this ever an interesting, important, perennial topic! What resonates for me is the idea that many visitors across the board simply want to sense CHANGE, itself. Changing exhibits might be the most obvious and largest signal they receive--at living history sites it sounds like it's the interpreters--but we should all think about other ways to express change. On an ongoing basis. What else can we do to pull back the curtains to share with visitors the new things we're learning, the new objects we're collecting and interpreting, the new questions we're asking, etc? Looking forward to hearing more. Thanks.
